The CurlPrint haircutting technique is a dry cutting method that I created over 17 years of working with naturally curly hair. The goal of the CurlPrint haircut is to create beautiful curls that complement your face. It is a versatile method that can be modified for all curl types from wavy to super curly, and it is customizable for all face shapes. The technique combines the art of curly hair design with the science of human beauty. Not only do you have a unique CurlPrint but you also have a distinctive face shape. Curly hair is ideally suited to complement your face. However, in all my years of training, I have discovered that many hairstylists don’t understand how to shape curly hair in a way that complements their client’s face shape. It seems simple, but it is often overlooked. The CurlPrint haircutting technique incorporates the best parts of many of the other curly hair cutting methods that I have studied. I am a Certified DevaCurl Stylist, a Certified Ouidad Stylist, and a Certified Rezo Stylist. I have also taken classes with Curly Hair Artistry, Mizani, Aveda, and I have attended Vidal Sassoon Academies in San London and San Francisco. I have taken the best ideas from all this training and added my own critical insights in creating the CurlPrint haircutting technique. Every person with curly or wavy hair has their own CurlPrint. Your CurlPrint is as unique as your fingerprint, and consists of the following components: Your curl patterns throughout your head Face shape Hair growth direction Head profile shape Natural part Preferred part Cowlicks and whirls Density of curls Spring factor Curl genesis point Curl hydration Neck shape A CurlPrint haircut takes all these factors into account when designing your haircut. The goal of a CurlPrint haircut is to beautify your curls as well as your face. All of our stylists at Devana Salon are trained and certified in the CurlPrint Haircutting technique which not only makes your curls look beautiful, but also makes your face look beautiful too.
